ok well i’m on the freshman basketball team and i need to get a sports bag to hold my ball, clothes and shoes. the school has a bag that is 40 bucks and like most of the girls on the team have that kind of bag. but should i rather go to a store like Big 5 and buy a bag that’s cheaper? i really dont want to spend $ 40 on a bag when i can just get one that’s like $ 20 or less. so should i get the school one or the store bought one that’s cheaper?

I say do whatever you want to. I suggest buying the school one since the majority has them. I would buy the school one, since the majority has it and I’m showing school spirit. But that’s just my opinion. If its really expensive for you, just by one at Big 5. Hope the helps =] Good luck with your bball season =]

I am guessing you want to convince your parents to purchase you a laptop? I went through the same thing AND I went to a prestigious private school! However you do NOT need one for high school. I actually barely even used it so it was a waste of my parents money. I am also guessing you have a desktop. I am sure your school and local library also offers access. That old laptop now belongs to my sister! I am in college now so my new laptop helps a ton. My advice..even if it seems way cool to have a laptop in high school, you do not need it. Remember that.

3 folders
2 skinny highlighters
lead
2 1″ black binders
black jansport backpack

im thinking about shopping at target or staples. which one should i go to? so whats your estimate on how much these things would cost all together? and leave the backpack out of the price because i already know its $ 30 but if you know where i can get it for cheaper please tell me, thanks. also im 14 and about to start high school. do i need anything else for 9th grade?

Are you a guy or a girl? If you are a girl, it will be fine. If you are a guy, it’s kinda weird. You seriously have no other bags?!? Then just swing by a store and ask for a box. Total Wine or ABC stores always give away their boxes.

The school is conducting ‘random’ searches on pupils laptops that have mostly been bought privately. A few have been bought through the school, but still, would this not mean that the laptop was owned by the pupil?
these laptops connect to the school wireless network.

Does the laptop belong to the school? If it does, and the students have been told previously that they should be used only for school use, and that they are the property of the school, then they can do it. If not, it’s a very different matter though…
