I got this backpack few weeks ago and its pretty good so far. For some reasons this one (which is red) is cheaper then the black one, even though they are the same backpack expect for the color differences. I’m guessing because more people are into black color backpack. Anyways, I’m just going to put the bad and the good about this backpack.
GOOD
-This can fit a 15.4″ laptop, anything bigger than 15.4 will not fit.
-Well made, it will last for a long time.
-Lot’s of small protected pocket for Ipod, PSP, HardDrive..etc.
-Feels good when its placed on your back, it’s design to have air flow between your back and the backpack. This way you will not have a wet spot on your back.
-Cheap
Bad
-It’s kinda small in size, you can fit a laptop and few binders and maybe 2 books. That is about it, there are spaces but its more for small items. There are bigger version of SwissGear backpack, but it cost more.
Overall, this is a great backpack for it’s price. If I would buy another one in the future I would still chose SwissGear.
Hope this help, thanks for reading.

I bought this for using with my Acer notebook computer. I have the small Aspire One and this backpack swallows it up! I also wanted something to carry on a plane for short trips. I guess it will work, if I am only staying for a day or two. I have to say it would be perfect if I was back in college and toting around my books and stuff. It’s bigger than I expected, but I saw one similar to it at Sam’s club for $10 more. The construction is top-notch. I’ve had my share of backpacks and this is one of the best constructed ones. I work in a factory and the guys there think it looks great. I throw my lunch and anything else I need into it and I’m set for the day. I would have given it five stars, except after I got it, I thought it would have been better made if the sleeve for the computer was removeable. Then I could use the backpack with the sleeve when I was carrying my computer, and without when I needed the extra space for packing an extra set of jeans for riding horses after work.

This is a great buy for the price. The bag looks very durable with plenty of pockets for all your laptop accessories. My Macbook (13″) fits perfectly inside though a 15″ or 17″ might be a tad big lengthwise. The straps are comfortable. It feels light even with my laptop in it. I’ll see how it feels with my school books. Note that there’s also an ipod pocket inside the bag. Overall, for the quality and great price, I’d highly recommend this to anyone!

From the makers of the Swiss Army knife, you get a solid, utilitarian backpack. You can call it a ‘computer backpack’, because you can carry a laptop in it. I am writing this review on a Thinkpad T60 and, it’s official. The T60 fits inside the laptop sleeve with plenty of room to spare. And it’s padded too. And, if you don’t feel like carrying your laptop in a backpack, it’s okay to use it as a regular backpack. This particular one (my second SwissGear purchase) was for one of my kids because the first one I bought was grabbed by my first born because he was the one who opened the box and it’s going to be his SchoolGear. So, let’s summarize.
THE GOOD:
- Solid build, pretty close to ‘indestructible’.
- Lots, of pockets, and I mean LOTS. I can see why a kid would love this. The more I investigated, the more pockets I found and the kids counted 22 of them.
- Padded computer sleeve, of course. Seems adequate for most laptops.
- The organizer pocket lets you store pens, a cell phone, money, maps… has many internal pockets where things can be organized.
- Water bottle pocket.
- Sunshades holder.
- Swiss Army knife pocket, of course.
- The shoulder straps are quite comfortable.
- Compression straps allow you to secure items inside.
- Airflow padding on the back for more comfort.
- Cool design.
THE NOT SO GOOD:
Can’t think of anything other than, to my surprise, it turns out that this SWISS Gear is made in China but it’s not as bad as, let’s say, Mongolian Scotch would be.
I feel compelled to give it five stars.
