This bag is AWESOME! I love it! It is big enough to carry about 5 textbooks, or a computer with about 3 books. There are only a few slightly negative aspects (that really aren’t that big of a deal, but a slight surprise nonetheless)… the bag’s over the shoulder strap does not lengthen as far as some other messenger bags, meaning for those who like to have the bag trailing behind their ankles, I suggest another style of bag. Also, it has no padding in the inside. Absolutely none. The fabric is very durable, and that makes up for the lack of cushion. This is not a problem unless you need to use it to carry a laptop…I just wrap my computer in a piece of fleece, which adds a little comfort and ease to my mind and computer, and it is fine : )
The stitching is very well done; quite heavy duty, with many inner pockets sewn in the same useful fashion and made out of the same heavy nylon fabric.
When I received my bag, I noticed that the picture on Amazon is slightly misleading. I was slightly worried about the strange shape of the bag (the wider upper part that tapers inward into a narrower bottom)and how it would fit square books. This is not a problem. The bag hangs and looks square when full.
There is nothing really horribly bad about this bag. It is light, but is big enough to do some real damage to the back if crammed with a trillion heavy textbooks. As long as you don’t over do it, everything a person would ever want to carry can fit in this bag (It’s kind of like Mary Poppins’ bag…)
I would whole heartedly recommend this product. I believe it is best for high school or college students, but as a travel bag it would also work great!

WOW! This bag was large. It was actually so large that I had to send it back. I later got the medium sized bag, and so far, it’s worked well for my uses.

I Love Timbuk2! This is my second bag. I have the medium size which I put my laptop and my work essentials in. I recently purchased the extra small to use for day trips and to run errands. I ordered the small but had to return it as the size difference between the medium and the small where not that significant. These bags are durable and sturdy. The quality surpasses any messenger back that I have ever owned. Amazon was great! I purchased many things through them and the delivery time is pretty accurate. I hope to buy more Timbuk2′s soon!
