All i can tell you to do is go back and try to retrace your steps (if its that important to you). Or if you have the software that help you find lost or stolen laptops, then use that. But other than that i have no other advice for you.
Contact the airport and hope that neither the baggage thieves nor the baggage handlers grabbed it. If that fails, contact the police.

hopefully your son was knowledgeable enough to store some type of password protection on the computer… (and maybe went so far as to install a tracer…)
you have to talk to the cops… and pray to whatever God you believe in that you will find what you seek…
